A letter from NAMSS President, Aimee Woolley-Randall, BA, CPCS, CPMSM, MHA, FMSP on the difficult decision to remain virtual in 2021:
Dear NAMSS Community,
Over the past year, I have been inspired by the collective perseverance and grit shown by my fellow Medical Services Professionals. Your determination has reaffirmed the valuable role MSPs play as gatekeepers of patient safety.
After much discussion, the NAMSS Board of Directors has decided that it is in the best interest of the organization and our community to move our in-person annual conference to a fully virtual experience. Join us from October 18-21, 2021 at the NAMSS Educational Virtual Conference & Exhibition to unlock your potential and embrace the future of the medical services profession.
This was not an easy decision. While hope is on the horizon that we will one day soon be able to convene together in-person, NAMSS’ focus for our 2021 Educational Conference & Exhibition remains on providing MSPs with top-quality education and networking opportunities in a safe and meaningful way.
If the success of last year’s virtual format showed us anything, remote does not mean disconnected. Moving to a virtual conference and exhibition experience will allow us to come together to learn, grow, connect with MSPs from across the country, and gain transformational skills to meet the future of the medical services profession head on. And I promise, we’ll have a little fun too!
We are thrilled for the chance to come together this October to unlock the potential of Tomorrow’s MSPs. Thank you for joining us on this journey as we work to find the best way to serve the community within the current environment.
Be on the lookout for more updates about the virtual conference and exhibition and stay connected with NAMSS on our website, Twitter, and Facebook pages. Registration will open in May 2021. Please reach out to our team at firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-367-1196 if you have any questions or concerns.
